Trip to Wroclaw
Hello!!
Sorry I haven't posted anything in over a week! Anyways, I've put lots of pictures up of my Friday and Saturday trip to Wroclaw. I should be getting some more (hopefully with me in!) from Allan soon. It was an amazing place to visit. There are churches everywhere and on Saturday it was really sunny so I also went up a 91m tower to see the city. It was amazing. You could walk around and see in every direction for miles!
The town is origninally German - one that was transfered when the Eastern boarder was moved West. It was called Breslau - a town completely destroyed in WWII. It has obviously been rebuilt but in appropriate style. A really good history of the town is here - http://www.wroclaw.pl/m6852/ But it does have a different number of bridges than the tourist office literature said! :)
The panorama building in the pictures below was great. We had a spoken story thing when looking at the painting with full historical background. It was amazing. The link can tell you about it more though - http://www.wroclaw.pl/m6864/p7271.aspx
Well...enjoy the pictures! I'll try to be more diligent in my updating this week!
