It's Already March!!!

Thursday - what a waste of a day! I slept in. That was really nice. I tried to read a little - I managed one article I think. Also, I successfully cleaned my room and some of the bathroom. But that was it! At 17:45 though, we had class. Hoping it would be a good one - Modernity, Ethnicity and Nationalism - I got there a little early. Well we all did. Unfortunately, we were all still in the tiny little room with not enough seats for everyone who wanted to come. Ennio and I found a place on the floor - but eventually one guy left. Ennio let me have the seat and he leaned against my legs for a little bit of comfortableness. What we realised soon, however, is that we should have just left. It was a pointless class. We watched a 1950's documentary on the Good Friday ritual procession in an area surrounding Krakow. The film itself was fine. The discussion afterwards was pointless. There were people saying they were afraid. What we never figured out was what they were afraid of - and something about the music. It was completely useless.

After an hour and a half of complete boredom, Allan, Tom, Ennio, and I went to get some Chinese food. The first place we ate Chinese was good. Last night's was not. I think I will refrain from eating Chinese until I come home. I felt really sick after that! I think Tom and Allan liked it both times... I guess Ennio and I will have to push for other places to eat!

THE BEST PART OF THE DAY
A GREAT NIGHT OUT! After Chinese, we were supposed to meet Dan and Enya, Derek, Magnus, Justin, and some other people we usually meet at the Irish Arms, as well as our friend Tom Adamski who is Polish and was on our program last year. We were going out because Dan's brother and friend were visiting but it was there last night here. We tried a few pubs but they were all too crowded until we got to Nowy Kucyn. Ennio's friend Jonas joined us as well. They left after about an hour or so to go to a different club though. The rest of us stayed there all night. It was great. They have student discounts and it is a really nice set up. After a few hours, we got ahold of the dart board machine. I watched for awhile, but then Dan's brother said I had to play so he was trying to teach me. I did well for the first few rounds! I'm not completely hopeless!

Today was pretty lazy as well. I did a little more reading before Tom and I decided we should go shopping. I bought a lot of chocolate today :) I also got some candles to decorate my room with. It will smell nicer now! It sometimes smells of stale smoke from our coats and clothes from being outside and in pubs, and class, too! Everynight I have to hang my clothes out around the room to de-smoke for a couple days. I'm sure I'll get used to it again though and I won't even notice anymore. The problem is, the Polish smokers aren't as respectful as the rest of European smokers. They like to hold their cigarettes right next to your head and blow all over you. Ennio smokes, but he is so good about it. He never will let it get our way. That nice - if only we could teach Polish people how to be like that..... :)

Not sure what is happening tonight. Probably just a lazy night in. We are thinking about traveling somewhere this weekend while we don't have too much to do. Even though I do have some more reading to do. I guess if we decide to go somewhere - I better get it done tonight!

Would love to hear from you :) Let me know how your life is!
